Episode 96 - Tongue-tied knitting

This episode takes the prize for most tongue-tied moments, restarts, retakes, and redos. I am not proud of saying that, and offer it not as an excuse, but rather a hope that you will laugh with Gayle and I as we can laugh at ourselves. As I listened to the final edit of the episode, there is a point where Gayle asks me how to describe the color of a yarn and the pause was so long that I had time to check my iPod screen to see why the audio had stopped. Alas, the audio had not stopped, it was just another tongue-tied moment, and yes, we shortened the pause so that our listeners would not think likewise. Recording and creating a podcast--literally creating something out of nothing--can sometimes be a lot of work. We've been doing it long enough now that the acts of recording and uploading aren't mysterious. But episodes like this, occasionally pop up and mystify us, and we shake our heads and laugh. It is always good to keep a little humor in the mix.

But back to the knitting.

Thanks so much for all of the wonderful comments, discussion, and praise about our last episode. Apparently we all have a lot to say and learn about yarn put-ups and knots. In this episode, we continue our discussion to chat about the information found (or not found) on yarn labels. We may have left something out and if we have, please join the discussion on Ravelry.

I mentioned during this episode that we belong to both Craftsy and Amazon affiliate programs. This means if you purchase an item or a class using our affiliate links, a few pennies will come winging its way to our podcast. We don't ask for donations often or even remember to mention these affiliate programs, but if you are so inclined, we would appreciate either a donation or a click-through from one of our affiliate links. Now, back to your regularly scheduled podcast listening. Thanks!
